Burst Pipes - an Unwelcome Situation

Burst pipes are categorized by leaking pipes, freezing pipes and others. When leaking pipes are noticed, shut off the main line immediately and open the faucet to allow the pipes to empty in doing so you would stop further soaking inside the house. If the leaking pipes are near appliances, unplug the cord from the outlet. Burst pipes are not a welcoming event in our homes, in fact it is very stressful and is very expensive but try to relax by calling your local plumber as soon as possible. The plumber knows what to do. As you are waiting for the plumber to arrive minimize the water spoilage by applying force into the pipe with a piece of rubber fastened to the adhesive tape. Damage caused by burst pipes is very costly because there is a need to change a pipe line and the necessity to open walls and dig up lawns. In order to avoid this unwelcome situation that disrupts your peace of mind, have your piping system maintained by a reliable and certified plumber.
