If I had my way I would be lounging in a bathing suit sipping pina colada somewhere in the Caribbean. This was what Ella said while we were sorting out our bills and found out that she has incurred quite a lot of unnecessary expenses on her credit card during the last month. She then blames this on the grand opening of Fashion 21 and their tempting 50 percent sale on several hot goodies. I rolled my eyes and thought that it would either be Fashion 21 or something else. I mean Ella has always been known for her lack of control on her spending habits. There was a time when she spent quite a lot on this guy an electrician in reading and we were all glad when the affair finally came to an end. She was too blinded to see then that the guy was just using her as a meal ticket and was milking her for all she¡¦s worth. It has been a dark time for her and we just hope something like that won¡¦t happen ever again. |

There are times when Mandy thought she would have been better off on her own instead of relying on her auntie to send her to college. She told me quite some time ago that the offer her auntie made her seemed too good to be true but being naïve as she was she accepted it without second thought even grateful to be presented with such an offer. Her auntie offered to pay for her tuition fees, books and allowance in exchange for working for her in between. Right now her auntie asked her to scour the entire worldwide web for electrician contractors including the companies they are affiliated with, contact numbers and email. Mandy groaned knowing the search is way too broad and who knows how many information she would find and how long it would take her to compile all of them. That's not the only task she was given, she was also to create 5 newsletters for different clienteles and have all of them sent before the week ends. Then there's the grocery shopping she has to do too and it made her wonder just how on Earth will she find the time to do her school work. |

There are times in our lives when we think that a problem at hand can be solved by doing something to counter it. At times this works and other times it does not. When living in a certain house a few years ago, i figured out that even though there was no clear evidence of bad wiring, the house was old and rewiring it would make it look newer, at least to my eyes. When i did the consultations fro an electrician i well knew, he pointed out that the fact that the house looked old does not mean it needed rewiring. After checking out all the areas with sockets and found out that there was no over heating, he advised me not to go ahead and recommended that i do something else that would improve the way my house looked. Which i did by changing the decor and doing a paint job. If you have only one socket with a problem it would be also unnecessary to rewire the whole house. When you want to remove the fuse box and install a circuit breaker, you do not need to do a rewiring either. Ask your electrician more on this topic. |

The local park next to our house recently received a facelift thanks to some local and state grants. The park was establish over 50 years ago and was in need of some much needed renovations. As soon as the workman gazebos went up, I could start to see improvements.
Improvements included some new rides themselves, new paint, and a new layer of mulch. The park never had mulch before so this adds a layer of protect for the children instead of the grass that was there previously. I have heard many people comment recently on the improvements and some people from nearby towns are bringing the children here to play now since the changes. The local residents are thrilled also since it gives them a sense of pride and accomplishment in their own community since most of the people in the neighborhood volunteered their time and did most of the work. Hopefully the park will provide many years of joy for children in the area. |
