Spinal Problems Can Be Aggravated Easily

Last year one fine morning before getting up from bed I could feel a pain in the left side that radiated from the hips to the lower left leg. I did not pay heed to it and got up from bed. After that the pain was excruciating and I could not put my foot down. I was immediately taken to an orthopedics who suggested doing routine tests along with the MRI of spine. The MRI report of the spine showed lumbar degeneration in the L3 and L4 region. It was because of nerve compression in that area that the pain was felt.

I remember the days I did weight training, working in a detailed fashion - always warming up and down, taking in supplements like Creatine monohydrate and eating well, and I realise how out of shape I'd become over the years.

Anyway, I was advised complete bed rest for a month. Slowly I recovered and has been advised to avoid squatting, standing long hours at a stretch and also to avoid lifting of heavy weights. It is always advisable not to lift heavy weights all at once. I did physiotherapy exercises under an instructor and I am feeling perfectly fine now.
